Each Real Web Property is self hosted on its own domain, with its own cPanel control panel which gives you full control over all aspects of the website.

Where are Real Web Property sites hosted?

Real Web Property sites are hosted on dedicated Linux servers with other Real Web Property sites. The servers are located at a major data center in North America. Each server is running the cPanel hosting platform. The servers are monitored for performance and uptime, and each Real Web Property is developed with security features implemented at both the website and server levels.

Is web hosting included?

Web hosting is included for one year with each Real Web Property purchase. If you prefer to move the site to other hosting, you are welcome to do so at any time. After all, once you acquire the property it is yours! After the first year, you have the opportunity to renew your hosting at industry leading low prices.

How is the domain name transferred to me?

Our domain portfolio is registered at GoDaddy, which is the largest domain registrar in the world. This makes it very easy and fast to transfer the domain to your GoDaddy account. If you don’t have a GoDaddy account, you can set one up for free in minutes. When you choose your Real Web Property, we’ll just need your GoDaddy account number and it will make the transfer quick and seamless. From there, you can transfer it to any other registrar if you prefer. If necessary, we can transfer it to another registrar for you, but this will take longer and may incur additional cost, so it’s best to simply transfer it to a GoDaddy account and you can take it from there.

How much does the domain cost?

Relatively speaking, not much. You will be responsible for domain renewal fees once you take control of the domain (again, it’s yours!). GoDaddy tends to have some of the lowest and most competitive prices in the market for renewals. Prices may fluctuate, but right now you can expect to pay about $15 for most domain renewals, with some falling within a range of about $10 – $40 per year depending on the domain extension. If you have many domains, you may wish to join GoDaddy’s Discount Domain Club. We pay about $8.47 for renewals through the club. Since our domains were registered at all different times during the year, your domain may be up for renewal anytime ranging from immediately to approximately one year in the future. When you receive the transfer, you may wish to go ahead and renew it in advance or put the renewal on auto-pay to make sure it doesn’t expire.

What other costs are involved with owning a Real Web Property?

Having owned various online and offline businesses, we can tell you that this is probably one of the lowest cost businesses you can own. You have a small annual domain fee, which is explained above. You’ll need web hosting, which is included for the first year with your purchase. You can easily keep it hosted for under $100/year. We highly recommend subscribing to an email marketing service such as AWeber or GetResponse to host your subscriber list, which starts at about $15/month. Beyond that, other costs are essentially optional. Such costs could include outsourcing (many tasks can be outsourced for as little as $5 on Fiverr), and paid traffic such as FB ads.
